We're Different

Team building events, leadership programs, and Challenge Courses are not created equal!

At Leadership On The Move, we recognize the difference between a recreational event and a facilitated team building or leadership program. We acknowledge that each group has its own unique needs and requirements and we select our facilitator staff with this in mind.

Our Facilitators

Our experienced facilitators recognize the needs of the group and therefore “facilitate” what is happening, rather than what was the initial desired result. This allows the process to be fluid and address a group where they currently are in order to help guide them to where they need to be.

Our facilitators are specially trained for the site specific execution of a safe program. They must maintain proof of a minimum of forty (40) hours of training through an accredited PVM (Professional Vendor Member), for the ACCT (Association for Challenge Course Technology), as well as-up-to date First Aid and CPR certifications.

The Humble Beginning…

Leadership On The Move (LOTM) was founded in 1990 by Dick and Lura Hammond because of their desire to incorporate experiential learning into leadership and team development. LOTM is the sole professional vendor member accredited for training in North America by the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT).

 Our Philosophy
LOTM practices the principle of experiential education in order to promote individual and group learning. This methodology allows one to become involved in the learning process, and take ownership in their personal knowledge development.

Our programs are centered around the following philosophy:

Tell me and I will forget,
Show me and I may remember,
Let me and then I’ll understand.
